The Los angeles Clippers signed Daniel Ewing (Guard), their 2nd round pick (32nd overall) in the 2005 NBA Draft and free agent James Singleton (Forward), it was announced by Elgin Baylor (VP of Basketball Operations).
Daniel averaged 11.6 pts and 2.1 assists per game during his 4 yr career at Duke. As a senior in 2004-05, Ewing had 15.3 pts and 4.0 assists per game and was named 3rd Team All ACC. The 6ft 3inch Ewing excelled well in the ACC Tournament, earning the 1rst Team honors in his junior & sophomore seasons while being named the 2003 ACC Tournament MVP after averaging 20.3 pts per game in leading Duke to the NCAA championship.
Singleton the 6ft 8inch kid, averaged 11.5 pts, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 46 games played for Armani Jeans Milano (Italy–SerieA) during the 2004-05 season. James was named the MVP of the Italian League All Star Game and helped lead his team to the Italian SerieA League Finals, where they unfortunately lost 1-3 to Climamio Bologna.
In his 2 yr career at Murray State University, James averaged 13.5 pts, 10.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 60 total games played. As a senior in 2002, James tallied 14.9 pts, 11.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots in only 29 games, helping lead the Racers team to the 2003 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Semifinals in route to being named to the All OVC 1rst Team.
